DR ENNIN SUPPORT MILLS ON VISIT TO TAMALE

Security expert Dr Kwesi Ennin has supported the President Idea of visiting Dagbo as a laudable step and that the president should be commended.
He explains that the visit will demonstrate to the people that the rule of law is prevalent in the country.
President Mills stated that despite warnings from irate NDC youth asking him to call off his trip to the area, he would still continue his regional tour as scheduled.

Some angry youth of the Andani Gate, who claim to be members of the NDC, burnt down the party’s regional and constituency offices in Tamale and destroyed other belongings because of the release of 14 people suspected to have assassinated the late Ya-Na.

The skirmishes led to the killing of a middle-aged man by soldiers who were deployed there to maintain law and order.
Curfew has since been issued at the place from 11pm to 8am.

Dr Ennin cautions politicians of the utterances especially promises they make during elections.
He explains that if the President had not promise them of the arrest of the people behind Ya Na’s killings the reaction from the people would have been different.

End.
