SACK MARTIN AMIDU NOW

The Editor of Ghanaian Lens, Kobby Fiagbe says he will continue his campaign for the removal of the Attorney General Martin Amidu from office to bring the best in the Mills administration.
He explains that Mr Amidu has failed to prosecute criminals and wrong doers in the country since he was appointed to the office.
He made these statements in reaction to a letter signed by Martin Amidu complaining about the attacks on him and further accusing some newspapers he thought had been paid by some interest groups in the party to lobby for his removal from office.
Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso, Kobby Fiagbe challenged Martin Amidu to prosecute all those journalists he has labeled as criminals if he claims to have evidence of their criminal activities.
The Editor of Daily Post, Micheal Dokosi accused Mr. Amidu of failing to do what was expected of him.
He says the delay in the prosecution of criminals makes it difficult for justice to prevail in the country.
Micheal Dokosi urge President Mills to relief Martin Amidu of his duties and replace him with another person who is more competent.

PRESIDENT MILLS: ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO ESTABLISH UNIVERSITY OVERNIGHT

President Mills says it is impossible to establish a premium university in the country overnight.
He says the delay in the establishment of the two universities in the Brong-Ahafo and Volta regions is because he wants to establish first class universities for the youth.
President Mills made these statements when the Committee tasked to oversee the establishment of the two new universities presents their report to him.
He says he will read the report and apply the recommendations dutifully.

The Chairman of the Committee, Professor Samuel Sefa Dede says the universities will go a long way to produce the graduates needed for national development.

GOODLUCK JONATHAN STILL HAS LUCK TO SOLVE NIGERIA CRISIS

The Head of governance and leadership at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Dr Kwaku Akom says President Goodluck Jonathan should be given the chance to complete his term in office.
Dr Akom believes that President Goodluck Jonathan remains that best person to resolve the crisis in Nigeria.
He says under President Goodluck Jonathan Nigeria has seen a lot of development and infrastructural improvement.
He made these comments when some Nigerians called for the immediate resignation of President Goodluck Jonathan amidst the crisis in Nigeria.
Nigerians are protesting against the removal of petroleum subsidy, blaming the president for the killings of innocent citizens protesting.
Nigerians say President Jonathan may end up like Mohammed Ghaddafi if he continues to kill the people who elected him.
But Dr Kwaku Akom says GoodLuck Jonathan should allow to complete what he has started.

VICE PRESIDENT CAUTIONS MP ASPIRANTS

Vice President John Dramani Mahama has cautioned aspiring parliamentary aspirants using his name and office to prosecute their campaigns to desist forthwith.

A statement signed by his Spokesperson, John Abdulai Jinapor, said the Vice President is unhappy with reports that some aspirants in their meetings with delegates claim that they were either asked by him to contest, or they are his preferred candidate in the constituency while others claim that he is the financier of their campaign.

The statement made it clear that the Vice President is not supporting any candidate in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), and urged delegates to ignore such claims any time they are made.

He also used the opportunity to wish all aspirants well and urged them to carry out their campaign in a civil and decorous manner in the supreme interest of party unity.
