PRESIDENT MILLS IS NOT QUALIFY TO MEDIATE IN COTE D’IVOIRE

Ranking member on Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway says president mills disqualified himself as a candidate to mediate in the Ivoirian crises after he recently urge Ghanaians to ‘mind their own business’ and not to interfere in the conflict in Cote D Ivoire.
Shirley Ayorkor Botchway made this comments after the deputy minister of information James Agyenim Boateng said Ecowas has will not permit neighboring countries to mediate in the political turmoil.
She stresses that AU and the ECOWAS should give more time to the three head of state assigned to mediate in conflict for them to complete the assignment.
The Former Minister of Information in the Kufour regime explains that the ECOWAS should hold another emergency meeting to find a lasting solution to the crisis.
She explains that Alassane Ouattara yesterday rejects negotiation with Laurent Gbagbo offer to make him the Vice President.
COMMENTING on the committee set up to accelerate plans to convey Ghanaians back from Cote D’Ivoire, she says it of no importance for the government to set up a committee especially when about 176 people are reported dead.
She explains that government must take a bold step to immediate convey about 2 million stranded Ghanaians back to the country.
