CLASS HOURS EXTENSION ALONE CANNOT IMPROVE BECE RESULTS

Educationist, Professor Stephen Addai says the extension of the number of hours by the Ghana Education Service at the Basic level alone will not improve basic examination results.
Professor Addai tells Adom news that GES should not make an excuse with the number of hours as the reason for the low BECE results.
The Former Rector of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), explains that GES should also focus on strict supervisory role to check the performance of teachers and students.

Meanwhile the Deputy Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Steven Adu maintains that the objective to extend the regular working hours for teachers in the Basic level is to help the children to improve and come out with better results of the BECE.
