GOVERNMENT NOT SURE WHEN DOCTORS WILL RESUME STRIKE-MINISTER

The Deputy Minister of Health, Rojo Mettle Nunoo says government does not know when the doctors will resume from their strike action.
He stated that the council of state cannot interfere with the work of the National Labour Commission on the doctor’s strike.
He explains that the meeting held between the Ghana Medical Association and the council of state did not necessary a means to end doctors’ strike action.
Rojo Mettle Nuuno says the government will allow the Labour commission and the fair wages Commission act on behalf of government in address the issue.
He says it’s about time people allow institutions to work in the country.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister says plans are far advance to restore the Tema General Hospital Maternity Ward.
Rojo Mettle Nunoo stated that accommodation facilities have been provided for the doctors who are waiting for final process to be posted to the Hospital.
