PHILIPA BAAFI LIED ABOUT HER TRIPLETS: BY DC INVESTIGATION TEAM; DC DETECTIVE GROUP.

When we first heard about the death of Philipa Baafi’striplets, our heart went out for her and we prayed that God should give her the strength to cope with the unfortunate tragedy. With a sympathetic heart, we went further to inquire about how it all happen but all the stories and articles including the personal narrations and accounts of the tragedy given by our beloved Philipa and the husband in various interviews didn’t quite add up. This made us to investigate the story further.
Philipa Baafi claimed that she gave birth to triplets on the 24thof September 2007 at Maryland, a state in the United States of America. In an exclusive interview during KwasiAboagye’s “Gospel Hour” programme on Peace FM onSunday, April 3, 2011, she claimed that the triplets had died three years ago and her husband Mr Kwame Kairikariconfirms her wife’s story in an interview with Peace FM's 'Entertainment Review' on Thursday, April 7 2011, he saidthat four months after the children were born, they became very sick and were taken to the hospital where they wereadmitted and put in the intensive care unit and were put in anincubator. Mr Kwame Kaikari said that their brain could not develop properly and some two months later, they were advised by the doctors to take them out of the incubator and see if they will be able to survive on their own, but unfortunately, they couldn’t and they died afterwards. The couple also claimed that they could not break the heart oftheir fans and Ghanaians’ who already congratulated and was very happy for them about the birth of their triplets, so they decided to keep it to themselves until most recent. They also claimed that only one closed family member and their pastor knew about the death of the triplet.
The problem with the account given by the couple is that they don’t make any sense, medically and logically and common sense dictates that there are elements of lies in it. First because it is medically impossible for a four month old baby to be put in an incubator as incubators are used only for prematurely born babies.
Secondly, from our investigation, there was no record of asingle triplet’s birth between June and November 2007 in Maryland, USA. Records show that only 27 women gave birth to twins during these periods and only one death was recorded of a baby girl on the 13th of August 2007.
Mr Kwame Kairakari recently revealed that the triplets were given birth to at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, 20904,Maryland, USA. We called the hospital on the 22nd of July 2011 to inquire about his claimed and the hospital confirmed that there is no record of a birth of triplet in the month of September 2007, neither was there any record of a birth toPhilipa Baafi and Kwame Kairikari.
Thirdly, how possible could it have been that she lost threebabies in a day and only one family member knew? Where was she staying in America, was it in the hotel, a friend’s place or family member’s place? And if it was a family member, is she the one family member that knew about the death? How about the family members’ names she mentioned during an interview with Regina Ani-Awukubea of The Statesman Newspaper on the 16th of August 2008 when she was asked how she was coping with her triplets she replied saying
“It is not easy at all but with support from my aunts Kate, Felicia and Hannah, they are doing perfectly well and I am very grateful to these helpful relatives. I also thank God for the lives of these kids because they - Nana Kojo NhyiraKakari, Nana Kojo Nhyiraba Kakari and Nana NhyiraKakari - will be a year old on September 24”
We are not entirely dismissing her claim, but we are calling for her and her husband to come forward and give the people of Ghana evidential and better explanation or rather tell us the truth about the story. Let also recall some of the events that took place during the time she allegedly lost her triplets. If Philipa Baafi triplet had died about six months after their birth, that will mean that they died around March/April 2008, and Ghanaians should ask her when she started her campaign trail with the NPP party in 2008 and let us not forget The July 13, 2008 Party rally at the old Kasoa Market in the central region. Did she look like someone that had lost three children in a day only three months before the live eventperformance show? Let us also ask her where she was on Thursday 20th of March 2008, because from Mr Kwame Kairikari comments stated above, the triplets were still in the incubator or had recently died as at that date and on that date, MUSEKE.COM an online media website posted an interview of Philipa Baafi and also acknowledge the presence of the husband during that interview. When asked about her triplets,she was quoted saying;
“Philipa: I wasn’t expecting it, I thought it would be two. It was a great miracle. There is a song, called WayeyiebEdoso (your praises would be a lot). I never thought it would be done, and what I didn’t think of, that’s what God has done.
They are called Nhyira mma and were born on a Monday- Nana Kwadwo Nhyira, Kwadwo Nhyira ba, and NanaAdwoa Nhyira.”

If philipa’s triplet were supposedly still in the incubator or had recently died, how were they able to give audience to MUSEKE.COM for an interview and where was the interview conducted, Ghana or the USA? If it was in the USA, that will mean they had left their triplet in the hospital or had just lost three children and still had time to chit-chat with the media or had left their triplet in Maryland, USA and was chit-chatting in Ghana.
From our investigation, we have been able to gather thatPhilipa Baafi was in Ghana November/December 2007 at thetime she claimed she was in USA nursing her alleged triplets. We made a call to Rev. Emmanuel .B. Amoah of Adabraka Calvary Baptist Church on the 22nd of July 2011 who we understood to be the pastor of the church Philipa Baafi attends. He confirmed to us that she ones attended the church but herself and her husband had stop coming over a year ago but said he is still in contact with Mr Kwame Kairikari. He also confirms that she was at the youth thanks giving programme in November/December 2007 and graced the programme with a live performance but was not sure of the exact date of the event as it was a long time ago and when pressed further for exact dates, he became very reluctant in answering questions regarding Philipa and insisted he will have to contact the husband before he will be able to answer any further question regarding their involvement in the 2007 youth programme.
The question now is why they would lie about a thing like this or could this all be about a way to get free publicity and sympathy to promote her upcoming album already been talked about or is there another reason behind this?
