MINORITY MEMBERS SUPPORTED PURCHASE OF MILITARY AIRCRAFT

The Deputy Majority Leader, Rashid Pepluo says some members of the minority voted in favour of the purchase of the 5 aircrafts for the Military in parliament.
He says most of the members in the minority actually supported that the idea to get more jets for the military with much support when the vote was cast.
Rashid Pepluo explains that there are no secrets dealings in the agreement as been speculated in the media.
According to him, those who were commenting against the purchase of the jets are not members of the committee that discussed the purchasing of the jets.

He added that the presence of the Vice President in Parliament was to contribute to the proceeds on the issues on the debate of the supplementary budget.
Rashid Pepluo states John Mahama is not an alien in the House and that the law does not forbid him from contributing to parliamentary proceeds.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency, Isaac Asiamah has labeled President Mills and his government as hypocrites and most corrupt administration in the political history of this country.
Referring to the debate over proposal by government to purchase 5 aircrafts for the Air Force, he argues that the NDC when in minority condemned the NPP government for making efforts to procure 2 aircrafts refuse for the same Airforce.
He added that despite the figures released by government, economic conditions are worsening.
According to hon. Isaac Asiamah shows that the cost of an aircraft is $32 million as against the proposed $65,750,000 stated in the government agreement.

NDC ARE HYPOCRITES TO BUY 5 JETS IN THE MIST OF BAD ECONOMIC CONDITIONS-ISAAC ASIAMAH

The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency, Isaac Asiamah has labeled President Mills and his government as hypocrites and most corrupt administration in the political history of this country.
Referring to the debate over proposal by government to purchase 5 aircrafts for the Air Force, he argues that the NDC when in minority condemned the NPP government for making efforts to procure 2 aircrafts refuse for the same Airforce.
Hon. Asiamah said the action of the NDC is hypocritical adding that he is shocked that the President Mills who claims to be an honest person is supervising this practice.
The Atwima Mponua MP says he is even more alarmed at fact that the NDC was against the NPP’s decision citing economic conditions adding that the same economic conditions exist however government is insistent of buying the aircrafts.
