VEEP MEETS OTUMFOU ON YA-NA ISSUE

The Vice President, John Dramani Mahama has met the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for assistance in finding lasting solution to the going skirmishes in the Dagbon/ Ya –Na chieftaincy issue.
He says it is time government collaborates with Chiefs and other stakeholders to able to bring the two functions in Dagbon together.
The Vice President announced that the President will meet Asantehene on Tuesday to discuss how the Ya-Na issue can be resolved without any controversy.
John Mahama was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Staff General Nuuno Mensah, and Minister of Interior Benjamin Kumbour.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thanked the President for recognizing the function of the Chiefs in solving their challenges.
He assures President Mills that he will do his possible best in assisting in negotiation for peace to prevail in the issue.
