TEMA POLICE DENIES COLLECTING ‘MAD WOMAN’s MONEY



The Tema Police has denied collecting the money of the alleged Yoruba woman who was reported mentally challenged.
The Public Relations Officer of the Tema Police, Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson tells Adom News when her team got to Ashaiman the people wanted to take the money of the woman so the Police collected the money to prevent the resident from stealing it
She explains that the Yoruba woman who has spent the last 10 years begging was raising funds for her return to Nigeria.
Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson says the woman has been able to raise GH350 for her journey back home.

An eyewitness who is assisting Police investigations confirmed that some people tried to collect the money of the Yoruba woman because she could not speak any of the Ghanaian languages.
He spoke to Adom News

Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson stated that the Police will put the woman on the next available transport to Nigeria.
