NDC WESTERN CAUCUS URGES SUPPORT FROM NPP FOR $3BN LOAN


The NDC Caucus of Parliament is calling on their colleagues from the Minority to support and approve the $3bn loan being contracted from China.
The MP for Aowin Mathias Kwame Ntow in an interview with Adom news indicated that at least $1.8bn of the money will be used to undertake various projects in the Western region.
He mentions projects such as the expansion road networks; establish a gas storage facility, construct new rail line from Western to Kumasi among other projects.

Meanwhile, the minority Member of Parliament for Amenfi West in the West Region, Joseph Boahen Aidoo says he supports the loans and the projects but due diligence must be done to ensure that the loan is in the interest of Ghanaians
He explains that the government cannot secure loans to pay in the next 50 years without examining the conditions of the contracts.
