BAWKU POLICE REMANDS YAM SELLER FOR SENDING DEATH THREATS

Bawku Police Command has remanded 25 year old Yam seller, Laminu Seidu for sending death threats text messages to the police commander.
Bawku Police Commander, ACP Kwaku Boadu Peprah says the victim will be arraigned before court on Monday.
It could be recalled that ACP Kwaku Boadu Peprah stated early said some unknown persons circulated notices threatening to kill him for preventing the Mamprusis from celebrating the Damba festival and also cancelling the funeral of their late chief.
But ACP Kwaku Boadu Peprah says though he has reported the case to the regional police commander, he will not be disturbed.

POLICEMAN REMANDED FOR SHOOTING MASON

The Kade Police commander say the Policeman who shot one mason Kofi Danso yesterday has been remanded for further investigations.
Kade Police Commander DSP Stephen De Laporte stated that they cannot reveal the identity of the policeman because of security reasons.
He however narrated that the Policeman shot the mason when he and some youth resisted the arrested of a man suspected to have issued a death threats on his friend.
DSP Stephen De Laporte says Kofi Danso was struggling with Police which led to the warning shots and subsequently the gun shot on his leg.

Meanwhile, the Family members of mason Kofi Danso has descended on the Kade Police for allegedly shooting their son without any explanation.
The Parents of Kofi Danso narrated that their son was on his way to work when a Policeman hit him with his motor bicycle.
According to Kofi Danso’s, parents when their son questions the policeman for his actions, the police gave a warning shot and later shot the leg for complaining.

NO ASPIRANT PICKS CPP NOMINATION FORMS TODAY

The Communication of Director of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Nii Armah Ankomfrah says no aspirant has picked forms for the presidential primaries slot of the party.
He stated that this development is unusual as aspirants on the first day troop normally troop to the headquarters for pick their forms.
He made these statements when the CPP announced the opening of nominations for the presidential nomination forms.
He says the nomination Forms may be purchased for the sum of Ghc500.00 Ghana Cedis while the Filling Fee is Ghc20,000.00 Ghana Cedis

Nii Armah Ankomfrah debunked speculations that the departure of Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom has led to the decision for an early congress.
