ALHAJI BATURE: NANA KONADU WILL STEP DOWN!

With barely 26 days more days to the national congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Managing Editor of the Al Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature believes the former first lady Mrs Nana Konadu Rawlings will bow out of the race.
He explained that the Rawlingses confessed that they are not interested in the Presidency but they only want to set an agenda for the members of the party to appreciate their role in the party.
He reiterated that the fact that Mrs Rawlings has pick up forms, began her campaign and finished vetting processes does not mean that the she will still be on the radar for the leadership position.
Alhaji Bature made these comments in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Dwaso Nsem programme on Tuesday.
According to him, there will be only one candidate in July 8 at the congress grounds in Sunyani. He added that that one candidate is President Mills.
He insisted that Mrs. Rawlings will step down from the race for President Mills to continue his term in office in 2012.
The outspoken Managing Editor vowed that he will never appear on a radio or television show if his prediction fails.
The Managing Editor of the Al Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature also threatened to spill out confidential information about the Rawlingses should members of the Nana Konadu camp continue what he says is a malicious campaign strategy against President Mills.

He said some people in the Nana Konadu Camp are trying to tarnish the hard won image of personalities in President Mills’ camp.
Alhaji Bature noted that Ernest Owusu Bempah, Saint Osei and Dela Koffi all belonging to the Friends of Nana Konadu Rawlings (FONKAR) for insulting and intimidating some ministers of who are still in post serving the nation.
He therefore cautions members of FONKAR to devoid of spreading falsehood among state officials.
