SPIO GARBRAH TO ANNOUNCE INTENTIONS TOMORROW

The Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah says he will end all speculations about whether he will contest in the NDC presidential primaries at 7am tomorrow on his facebook page.
He tells Adom News that he will respond to the new developments in the party and also settle all the speculations about his political future with an article on his facebook page.
There have been several speculations about Dr. Spio-Garbrah political future, including that he will either be contesting President Mills for the 2012 presidential slot of the NDC, run with Nana Konadu as her running mate or replace Nana Konadu as the candidate for the Rawlings faction.
Some pundits have also said that Dr. Spio-Garbrah will dump the Rawlings faction because Nana Kodanu’s candidature is a betrayal of an agreement they had that he will run from the Rawlings camp instead of the first lady.
Dr. Spio Garbrah was one of two candidates who lost the party’s presidential slot to Prof. Mills in 2008 and he has since been a major critic of the Mills government describing it as sick and its minister as Team B.
In more recent times he has said that President Mills does not have to run for a second term, arguably to make way for people like him to get the nod to lead the party.
In all these, Dr. Spio-Garbrah himself has failed to be open about his own political future, but he has now promised to settle the dusts on that matter tomorrow.
But ahead of that article, Political Analyst and Lawyer Osei Kwadwo believes that Dr. Spio-Garbrah will give Nana Konadu and President Mills a stiffer opposition if he decides to contest.
According to him, Ekwow Spio Garbrah might not be eying the 2012 elections.

Nana Konadu has launched her campaign and called on party members to be bold and reject bribes from the Mills camp and vote President Mills out.
Her husband, former President Rawlings, and Campaign Manager Michael Teye Nyaunu threw accusations and insults at the Mills government and party executives during the campaign launch.
But President Mills, his campaign team and the national executive reacted debunked some of the accusations but promised not to use the politics of insults, fabrications and accusations.
Would Spio-Garbrah add to the insults, or speak against the insults.
The answer will be in his article at 7am tomorrow on his facebook.
End.
