PROF NABILA CALLS FOR CHIEFS AT AU SUMMIT

The President of the National House of Chiefs, Professor John Nabila has urged the Africa Union to include Chiefs in their annual summits so that the issues on the continents can be diligently dealt with.
Prof Nabila stated that even the colonial masters recognized the institution of chiefs therefore the AU should at least reserve a seat at their annual summits.
He said without chiefs there will be chaos and misunderstanding in the society.
He called on African leaders to include chiefs in address African issues like poverty, electoral disputes and HIV/AIDS.
According to him, chiefs have been able to settle political disputes whenever there are misunderstandings in the elections.
Prof John Nabila was speaking at The Think Africa Forum as part of Ghana’s 51st republic anniversary in Accra.

Prof Nabila also disclosed the National House of Chiefs is awaiting government approval so that about 30 Queenmothers will be added to the National House of chiefs.
