1,500 POLICE FOR CONGRESS UNNECCESSARY- DR ENNIN

The Head of Research at the Kofi Annan Peace Keeping Training Centre, Dr.Kwesi Ennin says the NDC congress in Sunyani is not an occasion that demanded the presence of about 1,500 security persons.
He explains that the attitude and utterances of some members of the NDC has demanded for the extra security for the congress.
Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Dwaso Nsem, Dr Ennin stated that the numerous threats, intimidations and insults have force the police to beef up security.
He said the about 1,500 police deployed for the upcoming National Democratic Congress should be the cost of the party and not the state.
He said the NDC should be ready to pay the cost for extra security for the delegates and high profile members who would be at the coronation park on July 8.

Dr Ennin stressed that the tight security measures adopted for the three-day-event is a clear indications for the fear of possible outbreak of trouble during an upcoming congress preceded by a vicious threats by both members of GAME and FONKAR.
