MACHINE CRUSHED A DELTA AGRO LTD WORKER

The Tema Community 1 Police Commander, Superintendent Kwaku Buah has dismissed claims that a twenty –year old young man (name withheld) has been crushed to death by a factory machine at Delta Agro Limited a soap making company based in Tema.
He tells Adom News that this young man is the operator of the factory and line of duty, the he tried removing a foreign material that has mixed with a soap being processed, but the machine pulled him into the mixture.
The unfortunate incident amputated the left hand of the .20 year old boy.
Superintendent Buah says the man is in a critical condition and he has been taken the police hospital for medical attention.
He says Police are in discussion with the management of the company to ascertain the cause of this unfortunate accident.

Meanwhile the workers of the company who are witness to the incidence gave contrasting information.
Adom News men were prevented entry in to the factory and investigations reveal the machine actually crushed the young to death.
Some of the workers indicated that accident happened over an hour before the police arrived to the scene.
The body was put in ambulance and journalist were not allow see the body , but the workers who were at the scene before the incidence happened confirmed that the man is actually dead.
Adom News spoke to some of them and this is what they had to say.


The Production Manager of Delta Agro Limited, Fahed Sabra says the accident was as a result of the victims negligent to obey safety instructions in handling the mixture machine.
He states that the company will reach the family of the deceased to pay the necessary compensation and insurance due to them.
