DON’T USE FALSE YA-NA TAPE TO INCITE GHANAIANS AGAINST GOVERNMENT-VICTOR SMITH

Ghana’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic and Hungry, Victor Smith has warned former First Lady Mrs Nana Konadu Rawlings not to use the tape of Ya-Na to incite the people in the north against the government or any individual.
Mr Victor Smith who claimed to have recorded the grandson of Ya-Na explained that the issue of the death of Ya-Na is too sensitive to use as a tool to score political points.
Victor Smith made these statements in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Dwaso Nsem on Monday.
He denied that the tape contained people who were committing a crime for the purposes of evidence seek.
Victor Smith noted that the 3 hour tape only contained a recording of an interview with the grandson of Ya-Na who was narrating his side of the story to him.
He confirmed that he gave a tape of the Ya-Na’s case in 2002 to the attorney General. He said he recorded the grandson of the late Ya-Na for 3 hours narrating how he was shot at the back three times.
Victor Smith said he later gave one of the tapes to Former First Lady Mrs Nana Konadu Rawlings to bear witness to the tape
Earlier, Kofi Adams accused government of doing very little to bring the alleged killers of the Ya-Na to book.

He told delegates and some supporters of the NDC in Tamale, where Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings had gone to campaign, that Mr. Rawlings had handed over a video evidence of the killing of the over lord to government and the Attorney General to help in the prosecution of the perpetrators.

Adams said that with the video evidence and a thorough investigation, government should be able to secure justice but doubted if the Mills administration is competent enough to do it.
But Victor Smith blamed aide to Former President Rawlings, Kofi Adams for inciting the people and spreading falsehood.

He added it behold on legal expert whether to use the tape or not as an evidence for prosecuting.
The Attorney General has debunked assertion he has in his possession video evidence which would lead to a successful prosecution of persons accused to have murdered the late over lord of Dagbon Ya-Na Yakubu Andani.

Kofi Adams who is in the Northern Region to campaign for Mrs Nana Konadu Rawlings refuse to comments on the story.
