TEACHERS CAUTION TO DESIST FROM CHASING SCHOOL GIRLS

Bia district Director of Education, Maxwell Mensah Bonsu has appealed to teachers to desist from chasing of school girls but focus on teaching.
He says girl child education is one of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) hence teachers as well as parents must assist government in achieving this goal.
He made this comments when he embark on a familiarization visit in some schools in the districts.
Maxwell Mensah Bonsu explains that the Bia district is yet to report any case of teacher-Student relationship but says it is important to prevent that from occurring hence the caution.

He later appeals to government to support education in the district by providing them with trained teachers.
Maxwell Mensah Bonsu says the district lacks teachers to fill the classroom.
He explains that due to the lack of basic amenities teachers refuse posting in the area.
Therefore the Bia District Director of Education, Maxwell Mensah Bonsu call on government to provide them with basic amenities.
