SCHOOL FEEDING COORDINATOR DENIES DUTCH GOVERNMENT WITDRAWAL FROM PROJECT

The National Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, Mr Seidu Adamu has debunked media reports that the Dutch government has threaten to withdraw their sponsorship for the program.
According to the Coordinator, the donor country (Netherlands) is on the discussing with the Ghana government to expand the sponsorship to cover more areas in the country.
Speaking with Maxwell Kudekor in Koforidua, Mr Adamu discloses that the school feeding project in the urban area will be shifted to the rural areas.
He explained that the implementation of the project in the urban centers was an experiment to see how the project will do in the rural areas.
Seidu Adamu admitted that the School Feeding Project was wrongfully implemented in the urban cities.
He says as part of the expansion in the School Feeding Programme, farmers would be contracted to assist in producing food produce in the sustainability of the project.
