SHIRLEY AYORKOR: EGPYT SHOULD GO FOR ELECTIONS NOW

A Member for Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs and MP for Weija, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway says the Egyptian Military should quickly arrange for elections to bring stability to Egypt.
She says since the future of the country is still unknown it will be important for them to go to the polls now to elect new leadership.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs in the previous government noted that even though the Military has taken over the country, the Defense Minister in Hosni Mubarak’s government still heads the country.
Shirley Botchway says the Military cannot be trusted to hold on to power for a long time.
Commenting on the Mubarak’s 43 billion-dollars account, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway says politicians must not use their office to amass wealth.
She stresses that a leader is supposed to serve the country but not to make wealth for himself.
End.
