POLICE ARE NOT ALLOW TO TAKE THEIR WEAPONS HOME

The Deputy Director of Communication at the Police service, DSP Cephas Arthur says the law does not permit police personnel’s are to take their weapons to the various homes.
He explains that the police personnel’s are require to return their weapon from where they book it.
DSP Cephas Arthur notes that due to the accommodation challenges of the service they sometimes permit them to take their weapons home but under strict supervision from authorities.
He gave those explanations after the news team observed that some Police men take home their weapons.

The Deputy Director of Communication at the Police service, Cephas Arthur denied that the armed robbers use weapons of the security service in their operations.
He explains that the fact that some of the police personals sometimes take their weapons home does not guarantee that they use they weapons in operations.
He says the most of the armed robbers usually operate with locally manufactured weapons and also pointed due to the numerous conflict in the sub region would amount to that.

Meanwhile, security analyst has call for a strict monitoring of the weapons to prevent weapon smuggling in the security service.
