DO NOT CONSTRUCT SCHOOLS NEAR CEMETERIES AND CHURCHES-HEAD WARNS

The Head of Pre-Tertiary of Pre-Tertiary private school in Ghana, Esther Happy Edjeani has cautioned private institutions NOT to construct schools at unpleasant locations such as cemetery, water locked area, and close to churches. She stated that the locations of citing private institutions also play a role to help make teaching and learning easy. Esther Happy Edjeani urges all private schools to follow the laid down rules and regulations by government in order to enjoy support from them. She explains that private institutions do not get support because some of them are not ready to comply with the rules. Mrs Edjeani made these statements in an interview at the opening of Seaside International School at Prampram. She also charges private schools to consider the economic conditions of the people before charging high prices. Speaking on the theme ‘Education Beyond Expectations’, the Manageress of the school, Mrs Agnes Ankrah says the development of leaders depends on good foundation hence she task parents to invest in the foundation of the child. Mrs Ankrah stated that parents must be ready to pay for private tuition because at the end they will be the beneficiary.
