EC DENIES DICTATING ELECTORAL SYSTEM FOR NDC CONGRESS

The Director of Elections at the Electoral Commission, Albert Kofi Arhin has denied any form of dictation to the executives of the National Democratic Congress as was claimed a section of the media.
Rather, he says since there were some concerns raised by some members, there was the need to agree on the modalities of voting and counting at the congress.
The Director of elections told Adom News that the agreed system of voting for the July 9 congress will involve 3,125 delegates who will be divided into 6.
He emphasized that the rules of the congress will remain the same.

Asked about how much cost of supervising the congress, the E.C says it will disclose details of the cost after the congress.
Meanwhile, the coordinator for Get Atta Mills Endorse (GAME) Barbara Asamoah has described the agreed modalities for the congress as satisfactory.
She says they are confident that the EC will conduct free and fair elections.
A member of the campaign team for Nana Konadu Rawlings, Micheal Teye Nyaunu also stressed their confidence in the E.C to conduct an event free elections.
