BIRIM CHIEF LINQUIST BELIEVES WATER PURIFICATION WILL HALT FURTHER FLOOD DAMAGES

THE Chief Linguist of Akyem state and its environs believe that the purification of the ritual has appeased the Birim river god.
He stated that they there will be no more flooding in the area.
Yaw Antwi stress that the performance of the rituals is necessary to appease the gods who are believed to be angry with residents and chiefs over galamsey activities affecting the river.
The Linguist of the area Yaw Antwi noted that they expect the water banks to return to normalcy by the close of the week.

Meanwhile, the Communication director at the Castle, Koku Anyidoho says government is ready to do anything possible to avert the problem.\
Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Dwaso Nsem today, he stated that government is ready to perform rituals to answer the gods.

Our reporter Kwesi Azor has visited the Birim River and reports that the water level is beginning to reach its normal level.
