The Council Chairman of the Ghana Education Service Agyewodin (Prof.) Adu Gyamfi Ampem says they are taking measures to liaise with the Ministry of Education and Electoral Commission to see how best teachers could be used for the exercise without disrupting normal academic activities.
Agyewodin (Prof.) Adu Gyamfi Ampem says though the Council recognizes the importance of this national exercise, it is equally conscious of the possible effect of teachers’ participation in the exercise on the smooth running of activities of the service
The Council Chairman was reacting to statement purported to have been made by the Deputy Director-General (Quality & Access) of Ghana Education Service (GES) to the effect that, GES teachers cannot take part in the Biometric registration of voters which would commence on 24th March, 2012.
But in a Press released by council chairman Agyewodin (Prof.) Adu Gyamfi Ampem says, they will meet with stakeholders and come out with a decision.
