The Assistant Resettlement Engineer at the Bui Power Plant, Sandra Kesewah says due to the ongoing construction of the Bui Dam about 141 more houses will be relocated to pave way for the immediate completion of the project.
She made those comments when the Bui Dam Authority relocated about three communities who were leaving on the banks of the Bui River.
Sandra Kesewah explains that as part of the relocation they have instituted income support to compensate farmlands and properties which were lost.
She explains some few issues in the relocation drive.
People who were vacated due to the construction of the Bui Hydro Power plant in the Brong Ahafo region have express their gratefulness for the smooth arrangement of their relocation.
According to them government have constructed a new bungalow with consideration of the number of each family.
They tell Adom news that their new settlement Dorkoyia village has basic amenities and thus they have reason to refuse such offer.
However, speaking to our reporter Kwaku Abrampa of Ark fm the District Chief Executive of Tain Jones Samuel Tawiah thanked Bui Power Authority and the government for the good work done.
He explains that the road network in the community will be completed to make the area accessible.
