The NDC communication officer at the Central Region, Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs has defended President Mills’ idea to meet former President Rawlings to trash out differences.
He stated that the President Mills will use dialogue to settle any internal differences that might have occurred in the Party.
Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs says NDC remains resolute ahead of the elections adding that NDC ship is not sinking as been stated by the Ernest Owusu Bempeh.
He made these statements when the director of operations for the Friends of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings (FONKA), Owusu Bempah stated that President John Mills’ claim that he is making an effort to meet former President Rawlings is hypocritical.
He says the Rawlingses will not campaign for the NDC which he describes as a sinking ship, and President Mills hypocritical statement cannot change that.
But Bernard Allotey Jacobs says the NDC will be stronger ahead of the elections.

GHANA WATER URGE PUBLIC TO USE WATER WISELY DURING HARMATTAN
The Management of the Ghana Urban Water Limited has advised the public to conserve and use water wisely to minimise the impact of the usual shortfall in supply during the Harmatan period.
The Communications Officer of Ghana Water, Mr Stanley Martey says the impact of the dry season was not seriously felt due to prudent Management and consequent improvement in the system however if prudent measures by consumers are not taken, it will increase demand which their office may not be able to produce enough to meet the demand.
He advised the public to moderate the use of treated water for car washing through the use of bucket instead of hosing,
Mr Stanley Martey urged the public to report all burst pipes and leakages immediately to any branch office.
He also called on the people to report all persons involved in illegal connection, by–passes and any malpractices against Ghana Urban Water Limited and Ghana Water Company Limited.

GOVERNMENT SIGNS AGREEMENT TO RE-EQUIP KATH
The Health Minister, Joseph Yieleh Chireh has called for the immediate installation of equipment at the Intensive Care Unit.
He said government has signed a 267 million dollars agreement with a Germany based Gertech to help re-equip the hospital
This development became necessary when equipment at the hospital broke down that led to six people dead at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Earlier, Joseph Yieleh Chireh announced work is set to begin this month on a proposed regional hospital for Ashanti.
The 250-bed facility to be sited at Sawuah, on the Lake Bosomtwe Road, is expected to reduce pressure on Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
An estimated four million people in the Ashanti Region and those in other regions, as well as nationals of neighbouring countries rely on KATH for healthcare services resulting in extreme pressure on both facilities and personnel.

KEN KURANCHIE: PRESIDENT MILLS DOES NOT CARE FOR ME
The Editor-in-Chief of the Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie says Koku Anyidoho’s plans to deny contact with the President is a clear indication the President does not care for all.
Ken Kuranchi said “the neglect” from the Presidency is distasteful and portrays the Mills-led government as hypocrites.
Koku Anyidoho is reported to have claimed that "anybody who displays gross disrespect to the Presidency and hails insults on the President will never get the opportunity to be invited to the Castle."
Koku Kuranchie cited Ken Kuranchie as one of those insulting journalists, but Ken Kuranchie refuted claims he insulted the President and insisted he should be treated fairly.

EXPERTS ‘QUESTIONED’ MEDIA PERFORMANCE AT EDITORS FORUM
The Executive Director of Center for Media Analysis, Mr Messan Mawugbe has expressed his disappointment with the trend of questions tailored by journalists in the annual ‘Editors Forum’ interaction with President Mills at the Castle yesterday.
He stated that the Media questions have little effects on the lives of Ghanaians who were expecting journalists to ‘nail’ President Mills.
Speaking in an interview with Adom news, Mr Messan Mawugbe stated developmental issues such as accidents, high mortality rate, Fulani invention at Agogo and Ghana-Ivory Coast bounder oil disputes were left unattended by Journalists.
According to him, the media should be blamed that much because the notification was too short for them to adequately prepared themselves.
He recommended the President trend in answering the questions stating that the President has improved in his interaction with the media.
Meanwhile, a research fellow at the Center for Democratic Development, Mr Abrampa Mensah says there was over consideration on few issues neglecting other pertinent matters
He stated that some of the questions were not necessary to be asked by the journalists.
