At least one person has so far been confirmed dead while 25 others have been confirmed to have been infected with cholera barely 48 hours after the Health Service issued a cholera alert in Accra.
The Deputy Director of the Greater Accra Regional Health Service, Dr Edward Antwi attributes the situation to poor sanitation problems in the capital.
Dr. Antwi entreated people in the capital to be mindful about what they eat and avoid eating food exposed to flies.
He says any person who experiences frequent loose watery stools and vomiting should immediately rush to the nearest clinic for treatments.

FOOD INCREASE FOR INMATES WILL REDUCE ‘SEX FOR FOOD’
THE Immediate-Past Director General of the Ghana Aids Commission, Prof Awuku Amoah has recommended to the prisons service to increase the food given to inmates to reduce the HIV/AIDS cases in the prisons.
He explains that if the prisons service increase the daily food to the inmates there would be a drastic reduction of sexually affected illness in the prisons.
Prof Awuku Amoah says apart from sexual intercourse the inmates are also affected with the sharing of razor blade and needles.
Professor Awuku made these comments when the Ghanaian Observer newspaper publish that inmates at the Sekondi Prisons demand Gari for sex hence the increment in HIV cases in the prisons.
Prof Awuku Amoah explains measures to reduce the influx of HIV cases in Prisons.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Public Relations director of the Ghana Prisons service, Francis Agyire Kwakye denied the publication at the Sekondi prisons.
He explains that the Prisons officer on duty make sure that the right thing are done.
He says the Prisons service has draft a paper to the government to increase the daily food for the inmates. Which will make every inmates have at least GHC2 a day.

17-YEAR-OLD GIRL THREATENS SUICIDE IF FORCED INTO MARRIAGE
A 17-year-old girl is threatening to commit suicide if she is forced to stay in marriage to her 70-year old husband.
Rita Karimu says even though she was married to the man 4 years ago at Prestea in the Western Region she has run away explaining that she had to do so because of the stress and the unnecessary pressure from family members.
Speaking to Adom News, Rita disclosed that her parents died when she was young and her uncle who found it difficult taking care of her in addition to his family gave her away in marriage to the man adding she blamed her uncle for the frustration she has been going through.
She confessed that his Husband has resisted her idea to further her education; also she has to assists in taking care of the family cattle.
She said her effort to convince family members about the marriage has proven futile as they have resisted efforts by her to end the marriage.
She narrated that her Pastor advice her to take refuge at her hometown in Bolgatanga to protest against the treatment from her husband and family members.

WHY DO MEN LIKE BREASTS SO MUCH?
If you know a straight man that claims he is not fascinated with breasts, you know a man who is lying. According to some men who spoke with Adom news they confess that they are obsessed with breast of females.
